Q.  What is the cost to attend?
A. The registration fee for Soul Purpose is $140 with a     deposit of $25 due at application. A limited number of scholarships are available.

Q. What is covered by my registration fee?
A. The p
rogram cost of $140 per participant; includes meals (Day 1: vegetarian lunch and dinner (with gluten-free option); Day 2: light/continental vegetarian breakfast and lunch), programming and materials, and free outdoor camping

Q. Is financial aid available?
A. Yes. There are a limited number of scholarships available. Please indicate in your application if you would like to request a partial or full scholarship.

Q. Where is the retreat?
A. Soul Purpose will be held at Wild Hydrangea community, an intentional community located in Blount County, Alabama. Wild Hydrangea is located about an hour from Birmingham and an hour from Huntsville. The property includes community gardens, hiking trails, and the Locust Fork River. Our primary meeting space is a beautiful log cabin on full solar power with an attached green house. For those who are interested, a community tour will be offered including sustainable and solar-powered houses such as yurts, a straw bale house, and a clerestory home.

Q. What are the overnight accommodations?
A. 
Camping is free, and camp sites will include access to bathroom facilities. We have camping equipment available to those who need it. There may be limited indoor accommodation available upon request. It is our strong preference that retreat participants stay on site. If you have a strong aversion to camping, please contact us with request for information about nearby hotels.

Q. What time does the retreat begin/end?
A. Soul Purpose begins at 9:00 am on Saturday May 20th, 2017 and ends at 12:00 noon on Sunday May 21st, 2017.

Q. How many people can attend?
A. Due to the nature of our programming, participation is limited to 15 educators.

Q. Do I have to be a public school teacher to attend Soul Purpose?
​​A. No. All educators who are currently active in the field are encouraged to apply.
